La Femme Blushes

After watching Wayne's (gossmakeupartist) video on La Femme blushes, I had to try them, especially after he said that they were better than Nars blushes.

I ordered them from makeupmakia.com & it took about a week to arrive. They were packaged nicely and no broken blushes (:

I ordered the ones in pan form so it was $2.50.

I LOVE these blushes. Highly pigmented, soft, easy to work with, easy to blend, and less than 3 dollars.

The high pigmentation can be a pro and a con. You have to have a light hand when using these blushes or you will be sitting here trying to blend down the color. I suggest using a duo fiber stippling brush. You can get these stippling brushes anywhere. I like to use one that I got from ulta and a 188 dupe from sigma. If you don't mind spending a little more money get the 187 or 188 from mac. It's up to you, for me they all work the same in terms of blush application.

I am definitely going to be repurchasing more of these. Currently on my wish list: stormy rose, soft beige, pink, peach, coral, mandarin red, flamingo pink, dusty rose, & crystal cafe.

I finally get to put on an outfit that really signifies that it's fall. A few reasons why I haven't been able to put on a nice fall outfit - I've been busy with skills test at school, meaning I've had to wear scrubs every day; I've been working just about every weekend, meaning MORE scrubs. Sometimes, I wish I picked a field where I can wear whatever I want and be able to dress more stylish every day, but no... nursing it is lol.

My birthday is coming up and there are sooooo-ooo many things that I want while at the same time I know I need to save money and spend less on materialistic things. Even though I've been picking up so many shifts, that money just ends up disappearing due to random trips to walmart, target, and walgreens when I'm bored; and it's not until AFTER I come home that I realize that that revlon foundation that I did not need is almost a lipstick at MAC that I could have gotten.

The TO THE BEACH sneak peak event is coming up next Tuesday and I am super excited for this collection and I want just about EVERYTHING... total it's going to be about 100, unless I reason with myself... which probably won't happen while I'm there. Technically I don't need anymore lip products but I'm a sucker for packaging!

I feel like I'm in such a rut, but a rut that is just so irrelevant to the world, and pretty petty... lol.

I also wanted a digital SLR camera for my bday, and a tattoo. $600 and probably $400 for the tattoo... technically I don't need any of these either!

And then all of a sudden (well not all of a sudden, I've been wanting this for a while) I got the urge to buy myself a Louis Vuitton. So I guess the real purpose of this blog post is not to complain about how I need nothing but want everything but to ask my readers...

After just a little over a month, I finally got my phone case (I have a Blackberry Tour). Here it is in all it's gotti glory! I love it.

I know that you can request certain things that you want for your phone, but I didn't think to do that because I thought that it would be pretty much similar to the picture that they had online... but I liked how on their picture they had a little Chanel symbol in the top corner for the front... since it was on the picture I didn't think i had to request that, so instead they put a plastic heart in it's place? idk.. whatever =/

As you can see, it's quite thick... but that's not something that really bothers me.

New Year Resolutions for 2010

Happy New Year Everyone!

Another year-another decade-a time where we all think of our new year resolutions and goals we want to accomplish within the next 365 days!

Not gonna lie, 2009 was kind of a crummy year. I don't remember anything fascinating or doing much of anything besides my 21st birthday. . . when I look back on the year, all I can think of is how depressed I was (as well as for the previous years for the past 5 years or so?) I am not going to blame others for my uneventful year for it is my own life & I should have control of what I allow in my life to a certain extent.

I want 2010 to be a really good year & no one can do that for myself but me sooooo it is time for ME to make my own changes, and alter my life so that it's nothing but fantabulous. You can't expect the new year to just give you a good or bad year without you doing something about it yourself just because it's a new year. After all, January 1st is just another day.

2010 Resolutions:

LOSE WEIGHT : This one probably shouldn't of had to wait til New Years Day, especially since I'm on vacation in California & went on a roadtrip from Sacramento all the way to Los Angeles and San Diego and gained A LOT of weight. I can now pinch parts of my body that I couldn't grab before, like the piece of skin on my ribs =/ . BUT ANYWAY, through out all these years, my weight has always been my biggest concern and one of the many things that makes me self conscious & keeps me away from going out or wanting to have a boyfriend. I've been struggling with my weight for the past 10 years and it makes me sad because that's all I ever thought / think about. I hated that I couldn't wear everything that I wanted to because it didn't look right, so it would take me a little longer to find something that worked for my body. Another thing that I'm a little sad about is that even though I've been depressed about my weight for the past years, I realized I wasn't actually fat those previous years... I think it was maybe 13-19 years old? that I was at a good size, and now I wish to go back to that. Since I'm not home, I don't know what I weigh right now so instead of say lose however many pounds, I'll just say I want to go back to 130 pounds. ACTUALLY never mind, I take that back, my goal is to look the way I want even if it's not at 130 pounds. If I look more fit at 140, I'll take that. I want my toned legs back & I want to get rid of this kimono arms!

EXERCISE MORE: That's pretty much it, I am going to exercise more. More as in AT LEAST 4 times a week and make it something that I MUST do rather than something that I should do. No more excuses... first I said I couldn't go for a run because I needed actual running shoes, well now I have them. Then it snowed so I said well I can't go running anymore so I'll use the treadmill, but my dad blocked the treadmill with the table... well now it's out from behind the table. I also said "okay well since i can't use the treadmill I will do aerobics and pilates on exercise tv but then Adrian spilt water on the comcast box so I don't have that option so I guess that's it. But I have an exercise ball with a dvd soooo I REALLY have no excuse. Not to mention the fact that if I stopped wasting money, that money could go towards a gym membership which really isn't that expensive at all depending on what places. Like Nike says, "Just do it" .

EAT HEALTHIER: MAIN source of my weight problem. I eat A LOT and I eat a lot of junk food & pretty much just whatever I want. I'm conscious of the content of the food and how many calories are in what, but that doesn't really stop me from eating it. I eat when I'm bored and I am bored A LOT so that's another thing that I am going to fix. No more greasy fast food, no more greasy buffets & if I am forced to go to a buffet with my family, attempt to find the healthier crap or portion control-even if I am wasting money since it's a buffet lol. Consume less sugary foods, fatty foods, unhealthy carbohydrates, & soda--which is a tough one... because I love my mountain dew... and hate the taste of water unless I am REALLY thirsty. I need my propel packekts for my bottled water. I don't know how well I can do this since I'm still in California and people are taking us out to eat EVERYDAY or the foods that they cook for us are really fattening & I don't want to be rude and refuse it. But I'll see what I can do...

SPEND LESS / SAVE MORE : During 2009, I became addicted to beauty related blogs and youtube channels and became addicted to makeup and buying tons of it. A lot of it I barely use... but then honestly I don't feel all that bad for having all of it because I DO do makeup on other people so it does come in handy but I need to stop at that and only buy what I need like foundation, and work on using up the lipsticks and eyeshadows.

Not only does it go for makeup, but it goes for EVERYTHING else too. Clothes, shoes, accessories & miscellaneous things. Buy only the things I NEED not what I WANT. I'll allow myself to treat myself every 2 months on ONE thing that I want but it has to be something that I know I will get good use out of.

GET STRAIGHT A'S : I use to get straight A's, be an over-achiever, and a really really really good student--as in one that ACTUALLY studies. I've allowed my depression to affect my performance in school, and although they aren't the WORST grades, i know that it's still not my best and I've been settling rather than striving to be the best of the best like I used to. Me graduating 12th out of about 700 kids with highest honors was something that I was really proud of and one of the ONLY things that I had to be proud of. & now that I can't say that NOW I feel like I have nothing to show for. . .
I'm in nursing school now, so I'm gonna show what I am really capable of. I am going to be studious and actually STUDY EVERYDAY & not just cram the night before and skim through pages.

STOP PROCRASTINATING : This is something that I am the master at... constant excuses on why I can just do something later, and then just lay around in bed, watch tv, or go on facebook, twitter & youtube for hours. I need to stop being lazy and get things done asap and then relax later. This goes for tasks and school .

DEVELOP A NORMAL SLEEP HABIT : My goal is to go to sleep no later than 10pm, which is pretty early for me since my bed time is 4am. School is back in session in a couple weeks and 2 days of the week I have an 8am class [kill me now], so I'm gonna have to try to get a normal amount of sleep and learn to wake up early so that I can concentrate better and have time to eat breakfast-which is another thing that I forgot to mention in the eat healthier part. That also means no sleeping in past noon on my days off / weekends as well.

GET OUT THE "CHARGE IT NOW, PAY LATER" MINDSET : I need to pay off my credit cards along with be able to make monthly student loan payments, and once I pay them all off, I need to stop using them. I'll use my wellsfargo credit card to build up my credit but I am going to pay it off IMMEDIATELY. If I do well with my spend less / save more resolution, I can do it, and my goal is to pay off all my cards - bank credit card, macys, and victoria's secret angel card- by JUNE.

GET RID OF ALL THE NEGATIVITY : & surround myself with ONLY positivity, positive people and a positive mindset. I will stay away from the people that bring me down, I will stay away from the people that remind me or associate with those people. I will not give a second thought to those that annoy me and mind my own business, focus on myself and my well being. I will walk away from any negative situation and not let it get to me. I will surround myself with the ones that I love and truly makes me happy. I already got a head start by deleting number out my cell lol. I will be happy this year.

SPEND MORE TIME WITH MY LOVES : In 2009, I didn't really get to spend much time with my best best friends. We all have our own lives and different schedules. This year I want to make it a priority that we all spend more time together. I'm not saying EVERY WEEK, but more like at least once a month. It's unfortunate that I'm the one that has to call and make the plans to hang out; it makes me feel like they don't care about our friendship as much as I do. But if that's what it takes to rekindle our friendship then let it be... i will continue to be the plan maker lol

CLEAR UP MY SKIN : My skin has gotten so bad! Noticeable pores, bright red acne scars all over my face, especially on my cheeks, cystic acne, and white heads here and there. I will find a regimen that will clear up my skin and I will make it an obligation to wash my face every night and always take off my makeup.

DO MORE THINGS : If I'm not at school or at work, I am at home, doing nothing. I need to get out more and find things to do [other than shopping lol]

CONTINUE TO BE A GOOD GIRL : I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, I don't drink & I stay out of trouble & it will stay that way =)

Other Goals I need to get done [long and short term]
- get a new phone
- get my wisdom teeth taken out
- see what I can do about getting my teeth back to straight (I HATE YOU WISDOM TEETH! )

it is called the jocelyn satchel which is the balenciaga inspired motorcycle bag that celebs like vanessa hudgens, lauren conrad, nicole ritchie & the kardashians have been sporting except 1/3 the price lol

Being a poor college student at the moment I'm fine with settling with an inspired handbag =P

Overall, I like the purse. It's a nice size, not too big - not too small. The side width could be just a tad wider. Nice service, I got the purse fairly quick considering that I did order it on one of the busiest online shopping days. I am definitely going to order from heather @ shopsuey again. Next purse on my wish list:

Last week I went to my all time favorite store, FOREVER21.

I brought my sister over there because she needed to return some stuff & I wasn't planning on getting anything nor was I trying to spend any money at all... but as soon as I saw this deal I could not pass it up. Plus I knew that if I waited til my next paycheck, they'd be out of my size considering out of the whole rack there were seven of these my size & the rest were smalls AND black friday was a few days away. So I knew these babies would be gone after fri. These comfy cardigans for 14.80! They're baggy acrylic cardigans, so if I really wanted to I could wear a small in these but I prefer getting a bigger size because 1. it's meant to look baggy and 2. for these types of things, getting a bigger size makes you look smaller (WARNING: BUT GETTING A SIZE TOO BIG CAN MAKE YOU LOOK BIGGER AS WELL).

I got one in gray, pink, and white.

The gray is a medium and the pink and white ones are larges.

On black friday I didn't really get much because I knew that I had to make a payment on my student loan, and I was surprised that I did pretty well on my spending.

I got a $3 coffee maker from Target, and some scrapbook storage sets from Michaels for my makeup [that will be in a different post]. BUT the best buy EVER was this coat that I got from a discounted store called Opitz.

I got a Steve Madden coat that was retailed @ 118.00 for a whopping 20.00!

If you live in Minnesota and you don't know what Opitz is, it's sort of like a TJ max except with higher end brands like chloe, marc jacobs, balenciaga, & fendi just to name a few. They sell shoes, handbags & accessories & clothing for 70% off the price of the original because it has factory defects like a missing button or zipper. Last summer I got a 90 something dollar juicy couture monokini for 13.00! because it a button had fallen off, but it was attached to the price tag so that you could go home and sew it back on yourself. The only bad thing is that for most of the purses, if you want to buy it, you have to buy some more things that cost as much as the purse of buy a gift card of the same value.... stupid I know. So if the purse costs 400, you need to buy either a 400.00 gift certificate or purchase other merchandise for 400.00. so u end up spending 800 =P

If you're interested the place is located in St. Louis Park and they also have a store called Annex that is basically the same thing except the defect is more noticeable, like a GIANT rip in the front of the purse. So the prices are 90% off the original price & there is none of that stupid price matching stuff.

ANYWAY, I also purchased a pair of lace tights from Target [this was last night, not on black friday]. I plan on wearing them underneath my distressed jeans so that you can see the laciness of the tights through the holes of the jeans.

I owned a pair of juicy couture lace tights that I bought from marshalls awhile ago for 12.99 but I don't like them as much as these target ones because I wanted more of floral lace rather than whatever you wanna call the juicy couture ones.

but yeah! I'm really happy with my purchases. Probably my favorite items of clothing for this fall.

I also purchased a balenciaga inspired motorcycle bag from shop suey boutique. On cyber monday they had a 25% off discount code. Once I get that, I'll post it up later along with my order from toofaced cosmetics.

I didn't want to have to make a new one but blogger went retarded and decided to change the log in thingy majigger up and so I couldn't log into that second blog that I made. & then I tried to register a google account or whatever but that started a COMPLETELY different account rather than going to the account that I already made... you can tell I was super frustrated since I worked so hard on that layout.
